I have a million things to share.

The day went off without a hitch though very tiring. Some things did not go according to plan. Some things went perfectly well. And it did not rain.

It all takes one lafaz.. and just like that I am officially his wife.. siap ada temporary marriage license lagi.. huahahaha…

Last minute theme colour change

Today met up with the canopy ppl who are in the middle of setting up the canopy for my neighbour’s wedding tomorrow. *FYI — this month — 3 house on my street buat kenduri kawin ok.. sumer sepakat guna caterer sama and canopy ppl yang sama.

But to my horror — my neighbour…. they are doing cream and maroon too.. my original colour theme. And I was like.. arghhhhh… takkan nak buat sama.

So went up to the canopy company owner with my dad — ask to change the canopy colour for my reception theme into..

Gold & Cream

The flowers for the arch and the main tables would be white and red.

Actually it is not far from the original theme — which revolves around gold anyway –> but now it’ll be more gold and cream rather than maroon and gold. I’ll still have red/maroon accents used for my hantaran and my bunga telur as such but for the canopy — really had to change.

My dad booked 7 canopies for the wedding with flowers deco. There’ll be a screen behind meja beradab with gold curtain with gold cream meja pengantin*itu cakap pakcik tukang buat canopy tu laa.

Really excited watching them do the preparation now –.. 3 weeks more would be my turn. Can’t wait.

House hunting and more updates..

Kinda found the house that we are going to rent after the wedding. The owner is moving out in April and by May – we can move in. Saw the house today. The exterior looks okay. *already started daydreaming living with him. — actually to tell the truth — quite nervous. He’s a bit Nazi about cleanliness and OCD-like habit — while I am a total slob. Really — is it even conceivable to have us living together after this? And he is actually more mean and ‘garang’ compared to my dad.

But then marriage is about accepting everything about your partner right — good or bad.

Also – bought lot of stuff

* booked the wedding cards. Cards were 65 cent a piece.
* bought his hantaran stuff. Belt, wallet, work shirt, shoes.
* AUSSINO IS HAVING END OF SEASON SALE!!!! So bought the Royal Symphony Stivalli quilt cover with 2 piece of the throw cushion.

Had dinner with the CF gang at Apartment yesterday which was a blast. And Mask and Mintos were very excited with the fact I am soon to be married..

Tomorrow — wedding dress fitting and Jalan TAR outing with ‘hubby to be’. Yes, I am very happy… happy.. happy…

Got the forms now

Just got back from Shah Alam. Got the forms now so mum, dad, you can stop nagging me for now. Ohanaya-san is asking whether the ustadz for kelana jaya can sign his ‘pemastautin’ form and then have both of our application processed at the same time. My dad is coming back and on leave for a week in early march so should be able to settle everything by then.

My dad told ohanaya-san to book the nikah slot which is at 10:30 am on the 30th may. And the jamuan makan would be from 11 to 4 pm. Sanding around 12:30 pm.  Just a few months more right. I noticed that A LOT of blogger bride to be is getting married that weekn. So everyone, sama-samalah kita prepare elok2 for our wedding ok.

I love cuppacakes

Still in love with cupcakes in general. So another cupcake entry.

I love cuppacakes designs. Very pretty. Too pretty to eat.

Inspired by her wedding

While doing my wedding research.. I bumped to this old wedding pictures of the recently divorced Malaysian starlet, Nora Danish. Personally I hated her acting in Puteri *her high-pitched voice grated on my nerves* but I love her ‘nikah’ look. Very romantic. White dress and red roses bouquet. Yup, my kind of dream wedding look. Pity the marriage did not last. Her husband is an ass if you ask me *divorcing your wife during pregnancy… definitely an ass…

Have to remind myself to get red & champagne roses or carnations with white gerberas or baby’s breath for my wedding bouquet.

My first hantaran item

Having very itchy fingers to try them on. LOL. But if you already used it cannot put it as hantaran anymore.

I was telling ohanaya-san to get new shoes for the wedding and he was like I just bought these shoes in March. And he only buy new shoes when it is full of holes or beyond repair like every 2-3 years… *jawdrop* Good for the wallet… but dear god, really laaaa…..

I am officially ‘dirisik’

Ok, it all went well. His mum, two of his uncles, his aunt and he himself came to my house yesterday. My grandmother and youngest uncle from my mom’s side came early in the morning much to my surprise.

Happy, nervous and relieved. That was my feelings now.
Another one month to go before the official engagement. Hoyieeee….

Jalan TAR outing

I think any KL bride would at least make it a point to go to Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman at least once and get overwhelmed by the sheer amount of wedding dresses, shoes, decors etc that was available.

Went with my sis izzu and a friend, sky. checked out Maya textile, Gulati’s and of course Jakel’s. Sky preferred if I pick sumthing with more… mmm… pika-pika-ness. I actually preferred sumthing simpler.

Also dropped by my bridal outlet and went through the pelamin catalogue properly this time and picked out another one. Pics after the cut.

More cuppies

I may start working in Hospital selayang by December so I saw that this cupcakes shop - Marvelcakes is situated quite near to the hospital so I am still pondering whether to pick them instead. I like a lot of their designs.

I think red roses cupcakes goes really well with gold theme. Red and gold… Classic look.
