Weekend = Cheap flowers, lovely dress & great day in the spa…

… and had a great time fitting for my wedding dress.

Suffice to say — it’s a great weekend.

Saturday – was very tiring but fun. Went to Lowyat with ohanaya-san to get new printer/scanner for my dad –> printer rosak so camner nak print sign board ke rumah. After that, took the Monorail to Medan Tuanku and walked all the way to Semua House.

I love my wedding dress. And the great thing is that — my dress is a new dress. I picked the design from  one of the dresses yang already available. Tak ada pun request nak baju baru. But the lady there said they wanted to make a new one so I happened to be the first one who gets to wear it. No extra charge. LOL. Happy!!! No pics obviously — lemau lah karang kalau tunjuk sekarang. Ohanaya-san likes it best, especially after they put the veil on me, when my long hair lepas ke belakang.  *terasa macam princess sungguh* He has this thing for long haired girls. He likes it straight and a bit curled at the end *lepas kahwin baru nak buat *. Dia tak suka when I tie my hair up or pin it on the side or bun it down. For the wedding — I am doing a half updo so hopefully he likes it.

Lepas tu – got his songkok for the nikah session. He looked very skema with the songkok on. LOL.

Today – went to spa with my official pengapit – Ms Rosalina *single but not available LOL*. Went to Dewi Sri Spa in Plaza Damas. Opted for the whitening lulur. It is Martha Tilaar franchise and the girl that attended to me hails from Jakarta. Very relaxing. Tapi sakit woo dia picit.

After that — went to Bangsar to check out Floristika after I read from the Malaysiabrides forum that you can get really cheap wholesale price macam kat Petaling Street from there. I have totally no confidence to drive all the way to Petaling Street tapi kalau naik LRT — by the time sampai rumah sure dah layu all the flowers right.

Trip yang berbaloi – bulk roses about 15-20 stalks selling at RM16. Local white calla lily 5 stalks RM7. Imported calla lily 1 stalk RM7/ Gerbera 10 stalks RM6.50. Sweet williams 1 pack RM16. Foam ball 2 pc in a pack for RM8.90. They also sell lots of vases, artificial flowers, candles holders which suitable to use to decorate wedding venue, ribbons etc.

Last Friday also — went out for lunch in SACC Mall. Terjumpa Inani Craft - kedai vendor for wedding favors. Not bad. Kalau you minat small frosted glasses with decor or small candle holders – lebih berbaloi beli kat KK home deco mart. Hari tu I went to their branch in Selayang Mall *during lunch hour.. FYI, I work in Selayang ok babes.^-^ Ok gak collection dia. I want to put up pics but hari nih Streamyx kurang memberi kerjasama so next time ok dears.

Dah start kerjakan wedding favors. My wedding favors were simple * just a normal paper bag – lekat sticker nama kitorang berdua. Inside – ada keropok ikan pedas, asam merah & biskut kacang *tak tahu nama dia*. My dad bought from Kuala Terengganu. Siap dah packing Nanti akan add on dengan the decorated handkerchiefs yang beli kat Air Itam or the glass coasters *dapat free dari my aunt — lebih-lebihan wedding door gift anak dia yang kahwin* Plan nak buat sugar cookies tu cancell pasal budget lari and my dad nak sponsor — so door gift ikut taste my dad la.

Tu all bride to be — memang lah you want everything according to what you plan or dream tapi in real life — it’s near impossible to have that. So you have to compromise. But jangan compromise sampai you pun tak happy with how your wedding turn out.

Right now I tengah compile my wedding songs list –> my taste lebih kepada english, japanese & korean love songs. My dad pulak nak lagu Siti, Mawi, Bee Gees, Noraniza Idris   etc. Oh tidak!!!!! So adalah compromise regarding the song list here and there tapi sesetengah lagu yang memang ada meaning to me and ohanaya-san –> kena letak gak pedulik lah sumer orang yang datang tak faham sepatah haram lagu tu. Janji both of us faham.

Yang pasti lagu tema love story kitorang macam Jason Mraz’s Lucky and I’m Yours, Snow Patrol – Chasing Cars, Yuna Ito – Lucky, Kaoru Amane – Taiyou no Uta… adalah lagu wajib. Bantahan tak akan diterima ok.

My aunt ada comment something with my mum — my aunt a bit religious sikit so adalah yang dia comment regarding my wedding prep, isu pasang love songs during the event (kan elok letak lagu nasyid ke..  @-@;;;; ), inai, dress fashion and decor etc. To me, I rather be myself rather than be hypocrite by obeying to their requests. Nasib baik  my mum & fiance super understanding.
